A set of rules constitutes a formal system defining certain things and
processes by which those abstract things can be manipulated. In a
nomic, the rules themselves are included in the things that can
change.

You might as well say that talking about the circumference of a circle
is meaningless because geometry isn't "really real" and besides some
culture might say that pi is exactly 3 and who are mathematicians to
argue with their imaginary "axioms"?
