So long as you are capable of sending the email you sent, are not a player
yet, and can pass a turing test*, you are a player, now that you have
requested such status.

*there has been much discussion regarding whether a human can pass a Turing
Test. As it stands, i think, you can join by virtue of the fact that you
appear to be a sentient life form, but that may be changed at a later date.
