No, JJ's original assessment was correct. France started the turn in the middle 7 box. +1 PP for alliance with Turkey (to highest 7 box). +2 PP for manipulation (to middle 8 box). -1 PP for drift (to lowest 8 box). -1 PP for ceding (to highest 7 box). The result is that France ends up in the highest 7 box and receives 7 VPs. kdh P.S.
