Re: [eia] garrison assault at Tirane, December 1805 |
I think I may have screwed up the garrison assault combat at Tirane. I claimed that if the besieged Tirane garrison won its fight, causing its besiegers to retreat, then I wouldn't have to make the besieged forage roll for the garrison. But I think that was a mistake. Supply must take place prior to combat, right? So, since the garrison was besieged prior to combat, it must supply itself using besieged supply *before* initiating the garrison attack. If I am right about this, then the garrison attack combat may never have taken place, depending on a forage roll. If the combat never took place, then the Russian corps would be in the Tirane land space rather than NW of it. In addition, if the garrison starved, then Turkey would receive one dollar less during the econ phase. I'll wait to hear others' opinions on this issue before I roll the forage. kdh ----- Original Message ----- From: "Joel Uckelman" <uckelman@xxxxxxxxx> To: "public list for an Empires in Arms game" <eia@xxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, August 28, 2004 2:48 PM Subject: Re: [eia] garrison assault at Tirane, December 1805 > So no casualties are inflicted by either side, and the Russian besiegers > break in the second round of combat and retreat NW of Tirane. > > Thus spake dicemaster@xxxxxxxxx: > > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- > > Hash: SHA1 > > > > Dice rolls requested by: Joel Uckelman <uckelman@xxxxxxxxx> > > Rolls sent to: > > eia@xxxxxxxxx > > > > # Russians are XI with 1M, 2.0 morale @ 5-2 > > > > No. of sides on every die: 6 > > No. of dice for every roll: 1 > > No. of dice rolls requested: 4 > > No. of rolls per line: 1 > > > > 2 > > 2 > > 1 > > 2 > > > > > > Information on the dice server: > > DO NOT REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE! > > Replies to dicemaster@xxxxxxxxx vanish into a seldom-read mailbox. > > > > For instructions on using the dice server, send a message with > > subject "help" to dice@xxxxxxxxx, or see http://www.nomic.net/~dice/. > > > > The dice server is provided by: > > > > nomic.net > > http://www.nomic.net/ > > > > > > Original message follows: > > >Return-Path: <uckelman@xxxxxxxxxxx> > > >X-Original-To: dice@xxxxxxxxx > > >Delivered-To: dice@xxxxxxxxx > > >Received: from scylla.ellipsis.cx (scylla.ellipsis.cx [192.168.1.2]) > > > by charybdis.ellipsis.cx (Postfix) with ESMTP id 77EDFEF1C > > > for <dice@xxxxxxxxx>; Sat, 28 Aug 2004 13:43:31 -0500 (CDT) > > >Received: by scylla.ellipsis.cx (Postfix, from userid 500) > > > id 5F549B3B3; Sat, 28 Aug 2004 13:43:31 -0500 (CDT) > > >X-Mailer: exmh version 2.6.3 04/04/2003 with nmh-1.0.4 > > >To: dice@xxxxxxxxx > > >From: Joel Uckelman <uckelman@xxxxxxxxx> > > >Mime-Version: 1.0 > > >Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii > > >Date: Sat, 28 Aug 2004 13:43:31 -0500 > > >Sender: uckelman@xxxxxxxxxxx > > >Message-Id: <20040828184331.5F549B3B3@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > > > > > >#P eia@xxxxxxxxx > > >#D 1 > > >#R 4 > > >#S 6 > > >#L 1 > > >#T garrison assault at Tirane, December 1805 > > >#C Russians are XI with 1M, 2.0 morale @ 5-2 > > > > > > > > >-- > > >J. > > > > > > > > > > > > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- > > Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (GNU/Linux) > > > > iD8DBQFBMNJUji3Dv2PP/ewRAq4WAKDohmK9LXsFisRg6H5/RQU8Q5swnACgvXfO > > Lqgc/Mjj/8q1yNHRHoK6GGA= > > =2nKd > > -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- > > _______________________________________________ > > eia mailing list > > eia@xxxxxxxxx > > http://lists.ellipsis.cx/mailman/listinfo/eia > > > > -- > J. > > > _______________________________________________ > eia mailing list > eia@xxxxxxxxx > http://lists.ellipsis.cx/mailman/listinfo/eia > _______________________________________________ eia mailing list eia@xxxxxxxxx http://lists.ellipsis.cx/mailman/listinfo/eia
