The nweek has varied in length over time, but the main reasons for it
not being the Gregorian calendar are 1) so the game can be put on hold
if we're having trouble, as often happens in B, and 2) so that it
doesn't line up with the week, thus making there not be anything that
gets reliably in the way of anybody's work schedule.

I will note that proposing major calendar reforms is good for you even
if they don't pass. Zarpint and I did it once shortly before I stopped
playing, and when I came back the nweek was two ndays longer and the
new ones were named after us.
