Most problem emails are likely to be short and to the point (whether
'you suck' or 'you need these pills to make you more of a man'). We
don't live in the days where a 100k email is likely to cause major
problems for the reciever.
Naturally, if people do abuse this, then it requires revisiting, but I
would question the need for long message approval at all.
However, having a moderator for when abuse happens is a Good Thing.

A similar but weaker argument can be made for the wiki.
