[spoon-discuss] Presence, and C Nomic

Okay...I don't know what the problem is with Pegasus
(and you guys probably don't care)...It's not using
the SMTP server I designate, instead sticking with the
old one. That's among the many reasons y'all haven't
heard from me...and I hope my protege is hanging in
there...

C Nomic...You're talking about pretty much wiping the
old game and starting up a new one, perhaps with some
of the core functionality but focusing more on
subgames like the grid, or like the board in Nomopoly,
that sort of thing. Cool idea. Especially cool if
the higher-level game management aspects can be
automated, or set up to be handled on an as-needed
basis by whoever has the time. But might I go one
step further?

Let there be two game levels, the management level and
the subgame level.

Let there not be any function in the management level
that isn't automated.

Let there not be any rule change made at the
management level unless and until all approved and
un-automated rule changes have been automated.

In other words, for the higher level of the game,
which manages rules and points and actions and other
things, let us go beyond setting up so we don't need a
specific administrator. Let us in fact make it
mandatory that we don't need one at all.

Now, of course, one good system crash and we're back
to email and consent. But in the meantime, let's
break new ground in the Nomic community and become One
with the Machine.

I have said.
