I'm somewhat confused as to what prop you're referring to... the current problem is, as near as I can tell, that your most recent society proposal removed the part of r578 which defined what a charter is; although the most recent revision of that rule prior to your change was performed by me, that was over an nyear ago.

Well, it seems that I may have been a bit hasty. I maintain that my prop did not cause this bug, just bring it to light. The fact that "societies can modify charters" has been around for a very, very long time; the various definitons of charter have never changed that. The definition of charters doesn't change the fact that they can be modified while still fitting that definition.

So, no, Wonko's prop didn't create this; it's been here for a very, very long time. Only now has the loophole been brought to light.

The point is that prior to your proposal, it was illegal to modify a charter to anything but 'a list of publicly visible rules'... now that 'charter' is undefined, anything is legal.

Actually, I could modify the charter to be 'a list of publicly visible rules' AND other things as well.
