You DID neuter M-Tek and WBE, and the neutering of M-Tek would have resulted in the yanking-out of Iain had it not been fixed in time. vSOI and Athena's Society weren't affected simply because neither one actually requires its members to do anything but sit around and get rich. That's why I took it so personally: because it so directly affected me. Rules that affect everyone "equally" aren't all that altruistic if the effects are only felt by a minority.
