Can you see Michigan and Ohio State saying "Well, the field's on fire, and the football's fallen into this vast strip mine, but hey, let's play anyway!" :) I really liked football too; I'd hate to see it go away. These things add color to our game and I'd vote against anything that strip-mined it down to the bare essentials.
