I submit the following proposal, entitled "Sun and Moon":

Create a Rule entitled "Celestial Bodies", with text as follows:

Celestial Bodies are Game Documents with text consisting only of 1s and 0s.

A Celestial Body whose text consists entirely of 1s is deemed Full.  A Celestial Body whose text consists entirely of 0s is deemed New.

To Phase a Celestial Body is to change its text's last character that differs from its final character to match its final character, unless there is no such differing character, in which case it is to change the text's final character from 0 to 1 or from 1 to 0.

Create a Rule entitled "The Sun", with text as follows:

There exists a Celestial Body known as the Sun.

The Sun is Phased at the beginning of an nday if, during the previous nday, at least one Motion lacking the characters "e" and "E" became Passed.

Create a Rule entitled "The Moon", with text as follows:

There exists a Celestial Body known as the Moon.

The Moon is Phased at the beginning of an nday if, during the previous nday, at least one Motion containing the character "e" or the character "E" became Passed.

Create a Rule entitled "Eclipses", with text as follows:

Any period of time during the entirety of which the Sun and the Moon are both Full is a Lunar Eclipse.

Any period of time during the entirety of which the Sun and the Moon are both New is a Solar Eclipse.

Set the text of the Sun to "01".

Set the text of the Moon to "0000".
