[s-b] A proposal: let a President Veto proposals |
I submit a Proposal with the Title of "Yes, a President." Body: {Add a new rule, titled "The President". The text of this rule is: "The Office of the President is a Game Object that is held by at most one Player. The Player, if there is one, that holds the Office of the President is called the President. A Presidential Candidate is defined as either "Nobody" or "the Player X" where X is the name of a Player. There is an Attribute called Presidential Vote with a scope of all Registered Voters; a range of "None" and all Presidential Candidates; and a Default Value of "None". Any Player may, as a Game Action, change their Presidential Vote to the value of their choice. The Strength of a Presidential Candidate is defined as the sum of the Vote Powers of the Registered Voters whose Presidential Votes are that Presidential Candidate. If the Strength of a Presidential Candidate becomes higher than the Strengths of all other Presidential Candidates, that Presidential Candidate is Elected President. If "Nobody" is Elected President, there becomes no President. If "the Player X" is Elected President, the player whose name is X becomes President." Amend Rule 15 to add the following text under "The most recent Vote on a proposal by a Registered Voter is called that Registered Voter's Final Vote on that proposal.": "At any time, the President may, as a Game Action, Veto any Open Proposal that he has never Vetoed before. When this happens, all Players are considered to Vote ABSTAIN on the Proposal and it becomes Pending." After this Proposal is passed, there is no President.} If a Proposal is found to have a problem that nobody has yet realized, hopefully we can call upon the President to Veto it. This just gives voters or the author a chance to correct their mistake; the Proposal can still be Passed just as easily. _______________________________________________ spoon-business mailing list spoon-business@xxxxxxxxx http://lists.ellipsis.cx/mailman/listinfo/spoon-business
