spoon-business: The Daily Recognizer (Thursday morning)

The nomination period for the Grid Ministry position has closed. What a
shocker, there were no nominees ('cept me, who's nominated for pretty much
everything by default). Yay me.

Nday 6 comes around at some point: The Weather updates, and Curt and Rod
move.

I've added two Radar Blips that I had negligently overlooked before.

"Less is More: Grems." is 714/1.

The Witch Gremlin should in fact be Active; that was one of the (many? I
dunno) things I've overlooked in my nweekly checklist. Rob pays said Witch
Gremlin to Curse Wonko (at a cost of 21 points).

The Reality Police joins the Holy Order of Points, bringing its membership
to 6, which is more than 1/3 of 17. The whole damn fiasco triggers again,
and Wonko, Glotmorf, bd, The Voice, Wild Card, and The Reality Police each
score 20 points. The HOOP then ceases to exist, thankfully.

"Violent green." is 719/0.

The Reality Police buys a DimShip (There's something I never thought I'd
see.) and a twelve-pack of Beer. (isn't there a law against drinking
and... oh, skip it.)

Congenital Optimist was chosen for CFI688 under the rules of the Upper
House, which don't prevent inactive players from being chosen. (They also
don't prevent the plaintiff or defendant of any given case from being
chosen as one of its judges, or do a lot of other things that really make
no sense.) Someone really really oughta fix that; under the rules of said
House, it shouldn't be that hard to do.

Glotmorf (from the Upper House) rules FALSE on CFI688. (952)

Glotmorf (from the Upper House) rules TRUE on CFI708. (954)

(The parenthesized numbers above are for when the House as a whole rules,
so I can find the different judges' opinions on this, and paste 'em
together when I need to.)

As the Holy Order of Points no longer exists, Baron von Skippy cannot
join. (This also goes for anyone else who tries to join or leave; such
messages will not be acknowledged.)

"interesting?" is 720/0 (rectified: added Standard Delimiters so it'll
actually be a rule)

"Neatening up Gnomes" is 715/1 (rectified: "consective" -> "consecutive")

Even if the LOOP existed (it doesn't yet), Glotmorf's "pseudocode action"
is impossible under the LOOP's rules (again, if they existed, which they
don't). The best case one could hope for there would be one partial
iteration of said loop. At any rate, since the LOOP doesn't presently
exist, it's just an infinite null loop.

"Healthy Competition" is 695/1. (Note that since it now has actions other
than creating a Charter, it won't count as a Charter Prop and thus will be
subject to the standard majority requirement for passage.)

The Voice resigns from the Upper House.

The Voice rules TRUE on CFI 712... okay, this is gonna get twisty. Since
it is determined that Glotmorf was not a member of the HOOP, the 20-point
bonuses and such are unrolled. But then the HOOP existed when Baron von
Skippy tried to join, so when e joined, the whole thing fired off (AGAIN).

I don't much care what happens, somebody fix that damn thing. NOW.

The Voice's HOOP CFI is 721, assigned to Ed Murphy.

"Nweek 16 hole plugs" is 722/0. (And mostly rectifications, but now I'm
not gonna make 'em. :)

"And The Children Shall Lead" is 723/0. (And it may be amusing to someone
that all the BARNEY SHOUTING set off my spam detector.)

"The Casino" is 724/0.

Congenital Optimist returns, and then Forfeits. (sigh.)

While I'm cleaning out the Roster: Scoff! has been on leave for entirely
too long; Garbage Collection kicks in on em as well.

This adjusts the Entropy/syllable thresholds back up a bit - be sure to
check the Entropy page to find out just how encumbered your speech shall
be.

"LOGAS cleanup" is 725/0.

bd rules FALSE on CFI690. (Actually, I rectified this - e included
analysis that only makes sense if the ruling is FALSE but e forgot to put
in an actual ruling. :)

"Now you see me, now you don't!" is 726/0. (I would also suggest that, for
best effect, the author might wish to create one or two of those Boxes.)

Since The Voice isn't within running distance of (2,7), eir Grid-related
actions fail. (This is illegal on multiple levels: you're out of range,
Insta-Rules only take effect at the end of the nweek even if they did
circumvent normal Grid movement which they don't, and there may be more.)

Baron von Skippy tries to set the ballast of eir DimShip, but fails (try
it on the -business list, maybe?)

Wonko's "M-Tek membership" CFI is 727, assigned to Naath.
