I'd agree that Attributes were somewhat useless and led to unnecessary verbosity. Nope, essentialness doesn't do anything. But I think it's good to have it there as it could easily lead to passing proposals specifying things like: - essential rules take precedence over non-essentials - essential rules can only be amended/repealed by proposal with supermajority support etc. things that don't apply to essential rules yet, but very well could eventually. Also, all macks were destroyed because the very first sentence in the passed RP was "All macks are hereby destroyed."
