The older Card Game established the convention of using "you" in the body
of objects like this to indicate the player activating the ability. There
are other Add-ons that do this, but also a few that say "the user" or "the
buyer". I find that texts using "you" are generally prettier and easier to
read than texts riddled with "the purchasing player" or "the owner of the
fort to which this upgrade is attached".
