I have a proto-prop. I wonder what people think of it:

I'm in favor of clearing out the old stuff, but not at the cost of essentially kicking this game back in time a year. And if you do simplify the Grid, leave Armies, land ownership, grid space enhancements, speeders, IID, Ancient Monoliths, and Whoopass - I think the Grid could be revitalized with those alone, if only we had a few Monoliths going. Or a better supply of Whoopass.

Most of the rest you can nuke to your heart's content as far as I'm concerned.-

I thought about that, and indeed, much of my prop is organized in the hopes of grouping similar rules, to make it easy to take out all the rules related to a given concept/object [[i.e., terraforming, resources, entropy, religion, etc.]]

But what I was thinking about trying to create was a new subgame entirely, completely unrelated to the Grid - after all, Nomic is a game of change; why not change the system entirely?

I'm trying to come up with a good new subgame... We've already got the Rumble rule in place, so that's always an option; I've also recently learned of a game called Dvorak, which is basically a generic card game. See http://www.dvorakgame.co.uk/rules.html for a full description of what Dvorak is.

I could definitely see a B Nomic themed deck being built... cards like

(T) Uin (Character, Complexity + 5)
	Action: destroy a rule.

(T) Nweek 2 (Event, Complexity + 10)
Any number of rules, items, and actions may be played each turn. Destroy Nweek 2 at the beginning of your turn.

(T) Rule 0 [Rule, Complexity +2/-6]
Rule 0's Complexity is +2 unless its Complexity has been changed.
Action: Destroy two other Rules you control, R0's Complexity becomes -6 until your next turn. Play this ability only if you control at least two other Rules.

(A) Social Life
	Destroy a Character.

(A) Stock Scam
If you control Wonko, gain 300 BNS.

(A) Admin's Departure
Destroy Dave the Admin, if he is in play, and up to six Rules.

But whatever happens, I think we need to wipe the world clean before beginning anew. We may choose to reinstate some of the more recent developments, like Whoopass and Armies, but first I think we should revert to the basics of proposals and CFIs.
