Point one:  I literally had to read through this three times to understand 
it.

Point two:  I don't currently have a Signifigant Other (long-distance didn't 
work), but when I did, I would have had no protest if I said I needed to 
borrow her computer to do something rather than spend time with her.

Point three: I would have never, under any circumstances, done the above.  
Regardless if I could have gotten away with it.
