I'll get my votes in a bit later. In the meantime, I thought I'd introduce y'all to the concept of "panarchy", the idea of governments not necessarily tied to a nation-state, so that people in the same geographic area can "choose" the form of government each of them is a citizen of... http://www.panarchy.org/depuydt/1860.eng.html Don't know why this makes me think of societies...
