Just because a box is not a car does not mean that a box is everything else 
in existance.  And just because it is possible for other actions to be taken 
does not mean that it is possible for all other actions to be taken.  If you 
want to be picky and have something allowed, try stuff that is completly 
unregulated.  And since rule changes and changes to the game state are 
regulated, the society can do things like mandate that temples be painted 
plaid and other such things.

Yet you did not repeal said rule.  So under you interpertation, you still 
rule.  Not a good argument for your interpertation.
