Line breaks don't just appear by themselves, y'know. You have to put in a couple of <BR> kinda things, or else everything you write will just run together into one massive illegible run-on paragraph. No, you don't have to have a copy of Dreamweaver embedded in your skull, but you do need at least a little bit of knowledge. (There are various ways to semi-automate things in the Web form -- I've tried 'em -- but most of the things I've seen or invented have the nasty side effect of making the subsequent HTML either nonsensical, or impossible to edit later on. For something where stuff doesn't change, like the discussion forums I whipped up for www.bureau42.com, the fact that something can't be readily edited isn't a problem. Here, though, it IS.) > Well, I for one wouldn't mind the occasional delay...it'll give me more > time to argue with people. :-) > And, considering you don't know your schedule for the next year or two, > and considering that even if you did you can't predict your next burnout > period or awesomely hot date prospect, it would be far easier to make > allowances for you to take breaks pretty much whenever you feel like it > than to try to regulate patterns that might give you more time but that > you couldn't make things fit into. Again, that's not the POINT. I haven't been terribly shy about taking breaks when necessary, but it still isn't fair to everyone else. > Which isn't to say I'm against any attempt to distribute things among > ministers somehow.
