I'd like to amend this proposal. Replace the above with the following:

prize commemorates a bit of brilliant maneuvering by the original recipient;
think of it as a bit of memorabilia representing B Nomic's past.

The Cactus Jack Memorial Prize. This has no in-game effect, but commemorates
some past blunder by the first person to acquire the particular prize in
question; it's just another souvenir from B Nomic history.
