The latest Entropy reset finishes doing its thing, and the Clock is turned back On. Today is nweek 29, nday 6. Orc chooses a Race and Philosophy. Anything McGee chooses Gender, Race, and Philosophy. Baron von Skippy chooses a Race. Athena cannot be subjected to a Vote of No-Confidence... Rule 625, Section B.2. specifies that a Minister must "fail to perform one of the Responsibilities of eir Ministry within two ndays of the first opportunity..." and it goes on like that. Unfortunately, 625.C.5 doesn't actually specify any responsibilities -- the Ambassador is encouraged to do something, but e is not formally charged with that task (and not given any power to do so, but that part may be meaningless, as it involves operating outside the traditional sphere of influence of B Nomic proper). Every other Ministry uses strong, motive words like "power" and "obligation" and even "responsibility", but the Ambassador doesn't seem to be formally charged with much of anything. Rule 1078 again only specifies that the Ambassador is "encouraged" to do something, but e is not formally charged with the task. Since the Ambassador has not failed to do eir duty, within the bounds of the rules, e cannot justly be called to task for failing to do so. (The fact that eir duties are more-or-less nonexistent is beside the point.) (The previous polemic is basically intended to motivate someone to FIX the rule, and include tossing out the Ambassador as a side-effect in eir proposal.) "Have you considered being a Plotting Radical?" is 1275/1. ...dave -- David E.
