Welcome aboard, Mark.  Very cool about your ancestors !  Do you know what
ships they served on ?  As a high school science teacher, I also find it
cool that you are Devonian, since one of the Periods of geologic time was
named for that region, since the surface rocks there are from that age and
have fossils from that time in them (the "Age of Fishes" if I remember
correctly).  You probably already knew that; I'm just spouting off
irrelevant knowledge.

BTW, please feel free to weigh in on these issues of optional and house
rules.  Again, glad to have you in the group.
