Re: [eia] Battle of Paris, May 1806, British rolls

Since both opponents chose Outflank, neither side is split into pinning and
flanking forces, as we both reel around confusedly trying to find the end of
the enemy line.

Both sides are at +1; Davout for tactical rating and Wellington for cavalry
superiority.

In round 1, Davout rolls a 2 + 1 = 3 on 1-2, inflicting no casualties
but -0.5 morale on the Allies. Wellington rolls a 3 + 1 = 4, inflicting 5%
of 59 = 3 casualties (milita, I would think), and -0.8 morale on the French.

After round 1, Davout has 32 factors and 3.1 morale remaining, Wellington 59
factors and 3.6 morale.

In round 2, Davout rolls a 2 + 1 = 3 on 1-4, inflicting 5% of 32 = 2
infantry casualties and -1.3 morale on the Allies. Wellington rolls a 2 + 1
= 3, inflicting 5% of 59 = 3 infantry casualties, and -1.3 morale on the
French.

After round 2, Davout has 29 factors and 1.8 morale remaining, Wellington 57
factors and 2.3 morale.

In round 3, Davout rolls a 2 + 1 = 3 on 2-4, inflicting 5% of 29 = 2
infantry casualties and -1.6 morale on the Allies. Wellington rolls a 5 + 1
= 6, inflicting 15% of 57 = 9 casualties (one of which must be cavalry),
and -3.2 morale on the French.

Total casualties are -3 M, -11 I, -1 C, and -5.3 morale for Davout, -1
Swedish I, -1 Austrian I, -2 British I, and -3.4 morale for Wellington.

The French are broken and Davout leaves the field with 20 I. Seeing the
unscreened French columns getting away unpursued, Wellington implores his
men for one final effort. But they are too satisfied already with their
day's work and too busy burning and looting the French depot, and so the
siege of Paris begins.

This was our first battle with combined allies in this game. As I
understand the rules for PPs we agreed upon, the "most prominent" ally in
the battle (to be determined by number of corps involved, ties to determined
by the nationality of the army leader) receives PPs equal to _half_ of the
usual number of PPs gained by a single victor, fractions rounded up. Other
allies involved in the battle gain +1 PP each. Is this correct ? If so,
the both Great Britain and Austria gain +1 PP, France loses -1 PP.

With no French depots on the board and the Paris area the battle ground, my
understanding is that I can retreat Davout in whatever direction I wish. If
so, the French are retreated to Orleans.
