[eia] Hi everyone

I'll be playing Spain now. I'm starting from a few disadvantages, probably the least of which is that it looks like Spain has taken a bit of a beating so far. I've never played Empire In Arms, and don't have a copy of the game (it is, pathetically enough, a bit too new of a game for me to have played). I'm reading through a photocopy of the rules and looking at the map on Joel's program. Also, I don't yet have the password for Spain, so I don't actually know the strengths of my own units (!)

I've got a wedding to go to this weekend, and may not have net contact. So I probably won't be in shape to make any moves until Monday, and thats assuming I grok the rules and environment enough to get moving. Useful diplomacy will take longer, but what the hell, I can always just assault all my neighbors (except those dastardly British!)

Sorry about the delays, but I have a fairly hectic schedule (3 kids and more than full-time job), which means I had to start reading the rules around 11 PM. And Avalon Hill rules, while good for some yucks, are never what I'd classify as a light read. But I've read far enough to decide that my initial plan for all out war against San Marino, while having the merit of picking on someone I can whup, is not actually encouraged by a strict interpretation of the rules. So its back to the drawing board.
