Re: [eia] CBPlayer causing problems

I'm no computer expert, but these problems that JJ is describing sound
similar to the effects of the new Sasser virus. Apparently, there is this
new virus that was just discovered on Sunday, and apparently it infected a
lot of machines before it was even discovered. From what little I've heard
about it, it causes a person's computer to involuntarily reboot at odd
times. This sounds similar to the problems you are describing. So I'd
definitely check my computer for bugs if I were you. (My wife's computer
was also hit by this virus, and we're not sure yet if it will be
salvageable.)
In any case, I know of no reason why Cyberboard would cause these
problems on its own.

Subject: [eia] CBPlayer causing problems

Ever since I saved the new map and tried to open it, CBPlayer does not open
and causes my computer to crash. Any thoughts as to what I should do ? I
have deleted the new map file; still crashes. I have tried to be on the
internet when I open it, so I can "send an error report" to Microsoft, but
so far this just makes the computer freeze up before the error window even
appears. Right now I am doing a virus scan.
