Re: [eia] Turkish Land Phase, August 1807

The difference I see with the example of GB supplying Turkish troops from
Leghorn is that I have control of the depot, so I decide which corps recieve
supply, and it happens during GB's land phase. In the invasion supply
example, Turkey controls the delivery of supplies, even though no Turks are
present on the fleet, and it happens on a different phase from the people
controlling the fleet. All this seems very odd to me. It might make more
sense if it were only possible to do this kind of thing with an ally you
have combined movement with.

Also, with land depots, to build a depot outside of your own territory, you
have to have a corps (i.e. a presence) in the area. With invasion depots on
others' fleets, seems like we are trying to sneak around this requirement.

I think that this real-life procedure is better represented in game terms by
Austria having an invasion supply depot on the Venetian fleet, and providing
supply to the Turks. Then Austria controls the depot on their own fleet,
and all the strangeness goes away.

But ultimately, the point is that we as a group have to decide where to draw
the line on whose fleets can be used for invasion supply depots, since the
game designers didn't. No one will vote for being able to place depots on
enemy or neutral fleets, so that leaves us with three possibilities:

A) invasion supply depots can only be placed on your own controlled fleets
B) invasion supply depots can only be placed on your own controlled fleets
or those of combined movement allies
C) invasion supply depots can only be placed on your own controlled fleets
or those of any allies

My vote is for A. If I am blowing smoke alone here, then everyone outvote
me and we'll move on.
