If any portion of the list Joel has set up for us runs through the 
university here, that's probably the source of any recent problems.  The 
university is getting slammed by viruses with the return of tens of 
thousands of students who don't all have properly protected machines.  I 
know they've been dumping email just on subject lines that could be 
suspicious to clear the email ques out when they get swamped and have also 
been blocking portions of their own network off now and again to keep the 
infected areas from spreading.  I know they posted that for a while today 
they rejected anything coming from one of the dorms here and most of the 
email system was down this afternoon.
