Fair enough. I was saying that the adjustment would have minimal impact because GB had already gone before France in the naval phase. So I was presuming that nothing I did *after* JJ already went could have influenced his move (since he would already have taken it no matter what I did subsequently). But now I hear him saying that if he had understood the rules the way we are now interpreting them, then he would have made different moves prior to attacking my fleet off Marseilles. I hadn't thought about it that way.
