Re: [eia] A Letter of Grievance (OOC)

Rereading this letter of Grievance after writing Lord Castlereagh's reply, I
just realized that Kyle is waiting for Spain to change their mind about
choosing Lombardy. This is entirely Spain's decision and always was, but
Britain's recommendation is to keep things as they are. The negotiations of
the "gentleman's agreement" never mentioned (as far as I remember) depending
on what peace conditions or territories were chosen by the victors. And the
negotiations regarding British withdrawl were completed before the idea of
acquiring Lombardy ever came up; an idea which, as I've said, did not
originate with Britain.

In short, no breach of honor was intended, but if France cannot abide by the
agreement under these circumstances, they should blast away. On with the
game !
