RE: [ALACPP] Nice upgrade offer at the moment |
It is a good deal! I got mine some weeks ago and was pleased. The better STL compliance is the best part--no need for third party STL implementations to use libs like Boost. And I was pleasantly surprised to receive not just a CD for my $30, but the entire retail package. --Mike -----Original Message----- From: alacpp-admin@xxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:alacpp-admin@xxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of arlo@xxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, June 26, 2003 12:42 PM To: alacpp@xxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [ALACPP] Nice upgrade offer at the moment Don't know how many of you use VStudio at home, but they've got a nice upgrade offer at the moment. Upgrade from .Net to 2003 for $30, and get full media, manuals, and such. VStudio 2003 provides full template partial specialization, etc, so is worth it for C++ developers. They've also made the IDE a little more customizable, by making yet more of it be defined by XML files. Very handy for plugging in your own tools. OK, I'll stop the sales pitch now, but I figured you might want to know.
