We do have a game, as most rules take precedence over the Eclair rule.

We do not have PGo or Cards (they're there, but we can't use them).

except for the fact as Zarpint pointed out, that referencing is an action not defined in the rules, and so is functionally a chocolate eclair

Still, i have to say that it might be easier at this point to start anew

The game has been running for over two years now; I'd rather not see it die.

That said, we could effectively begin anew by repealing most rules and rebuilding... B Nomic Round 2, if you will.

But to really do this well, we'd have to scrap everything unnecessary in the ruleset - otherwise it's not worth doing. So the question is, is the cleanliness of a new ruleset really worth giving up...
BNS?
Charm?
Activity?
BAC?
Style?

All of capital resources and Dimensions is fine. It doesn't actually do anything, it just defines things. I have to say If we were doing it again I would split the current rules into "definitions" and "processes", rather than having everything jumbled up

Gremlins?

Do we have any of these left? Oh i see we do, but they are either
i)more work for Dave
ii)never used

The Pink Scarf?

which you left in a dusty closet for an nyear

The LOGAS?

4 things I have _never_ seen done, 2 which can't be done since the items in question don't appear in the rules and only 2 which have any point. We could just have 2 rules, you know?

Gender?

which tends to have either
i)no effect
ii)makes a lot of things more complicated

Respect?

dimension, keep

Alcohol?

still does half a dozen things that never get used any more and only gets used for parties

The Quote Book?

keep, but it'd still be there anyway

Literary Forms?

tend to make the rules a mess, INHO

Societies?

...are either a rules dodge, broken or too powerful. the rules concerning societies are broken

Cards?

i'm not actually too fussed about cards. I played M:TG for too many years and was disillusioned by WOTCs behaviour at the end to get up too much emotion im affraid

PGo?

We broke this subgame, remember Wonko?

etc...

I guess really the question is, if we had to abandon the game and start over, what would we keep?

see above. mainly though i'd make the structure of the rules different and try to make the entire game work without an Admin. Either the duties system, absolute transparency or some form of ministerial play are options, as is a Wiki
