| [hosers-announce] .forward and SPF |
1. As of right now, I'm setting up SPF. That means that in order to keep
using a .forward, you need to have a .procmailrc which reads it. I gave
everyone who has a .forward right now an appropriate .procmailrc, so you
need do nothing so long as it seems to be working for you.
2. If you find that some of your mail suddenly isn't going out, let me know.
3. For those of you who aren't using a .forward, here's the .procmailrc
you'd need (for reference, in case you ever need it):
# forwarding
FORWARD=`cat $HOME/.forward`
:0 fw
* !^X-Loop: $FORWARD
| /usr/bin/formail -A'X-Loop: $FORWARD'
:0 A
{
:0
* !^FROM_DAEMON
! $FORWARD
:0 B
* !$FORWARD
! $FORWARD
}
Those of you whose mail is delivered locally either have a .procmailrc
containing (at least) the following recipe:
# file to my Maildir
:0:
Maildir/
OR you're still receiving your mail on the spool, in which case I'd like to
get you moved to a Maildir. (I'm not quite sure what to do with you guys
who use Pine. Can pine incorporate mail from a Maildir?)
