Gratuitous: Most definitely, Hit Points are distinct from the type of Points defined in Rule 2-4. That said, by any ordinary language definition, "Hit Points" are a type of point. References to "points" contained elsewhere in the ruleset (e.g. Rules 3-10 and 3-11) do not specify which type of points they are meant to refer to - both interpretations may therefore be used where this does not give rise to a conflict (e.g. 3-10 and 3-11, contrast to 2-6).
