Lisping is not technically ever required. And even if it were, 'lisp' is not clearly defined; you could claim that you have such a slight lisp that it's not noticeable in your speech, or that your lisp comes and goes with the Moon. Hmmm... Tidal Lisping.... that gives me an idea...
