That argument is specious and you know it. The mailserver is configured to do 
so, and everyone knows it. Otherwise the word 'privately' wouldn't apply 
anywhere - I could post votes to alt.games.dave.reads.this.group and get my 
votes recognized (if Dave chove to read it ;)
