Re: [spoon-discuss] Re: [Spoon-business] The Daily Recognizer (Friday evening) |
-Well, that's why you have carte blanche to say "screw you, Player A. Player C can define it." Or, if something later on looks like it'll bugger us all, "Hey, look, the Player B Gremlin went 'foomp' and needs redefinition."-> I have one question, Dave. Player Gremlin prop? Hadn't made it to me when I did that Recognizer doc. Anyway: a bad bad idea. You're basically giving players carte blanche to scribble all over the rules. There's very little (aside from me) to prevent Player A from defining the Player B Gremlin as "The Player B Gremlin is placed on a random square on the Grid when it becomes Active. When Active, at the beginning of every nday, Player A scores 1000 points."
-Just people not in the conspiracy and you... I really think that's plently of defense against the game having a Sledge-O-Matic taken to it.-Granted, with the randomness factor, and the fact that most players don't seem too interested in breaking the game (there ARE exceptions...), the really overt attacks like that are unlikely. But there's not much of anything in place to prevent subtle collusion...
