spoon-discuss: new front page, search

I just finished making some improvements to the front page---I hope 
everyone finds it useful (or at least doesn't detest the new page). The 
search works a lot differently now, but I'm not going to explain how it's 
changed, as I want to test the effectiveness of the instructions I wrote 
for it. If you can't figure it out from the instructions, let me know.
