I answer Consultation 89 NO.

The owner of the rapier in question is undefined.  I don't buy the
argument that pikhq is still a Game Object and a DOO; he only became a
Game Object by consenting to be a Player and it's in the spirit of the
game and of nomics in general that a Player who wishes to have nothing
more to do with the game can cease to have any part whatsoever in it
by forfeiting.
