[s-b] Things are tough all over |
FYI, I've just judged in Agora that H. MFR Wooble's attempt to register B as a player of Agora was ineffective. Agora explicitly recognizes certain legal entities as persons (hence able to register), but B does not meet the standard. Here are the relevant Agoran rules: Rule 2145/2 (Power=2) Partnerships A binding agreement governed by the rules which devolves its legal obligations onto a subset of its parties, numbering at least two, collectively, is a partnership. The members of a partnership are those parties onto whom the partnership's legal obligations are collectively devolved. A partnership's identity and partnershiphood are not disrupted by changes to its membership provided that it continues to meet the definition of a partnership. A partnership's basis is the set consisting of the union of the set of its non-partnership members with the bases of each of its partnership members. Where circularity occurs in this definition, it is resolved by using the minimum basis sets that provide consistency. A partnership whose basis contains at least two persons is a person. Rule 2144/5 (Power=1) Limited Partnerships A partnership is prohibited from registering if its basis is the same as that of another registered partnership. If a registered partnership has the same basis as another registered partnership, it can be deregistered by any player with Agoran Consent. While B's rules implicitly require its players to fulfill their own obligations arising within B, they do not require its players to fulfill B's obligations arising within Agora. They allow one of its players (the H. MFR) to do so, but that's insufficient on numbers as well as significance. _______________________________________________ spoon-business mailing list spoon-business@xxxxxxxxx http://lists.ellipsis.cx/mailman/listinfo/spoon-business
