[[ Do you really want to know? ]] I propose the following: {{ __I don't think we're in (10,16) anymore, Toto__ Append the following to rule 405: {{ D. Tornadoes D.1. Definition There may exist up to 2 Tornadoes on the Grid at any time. Tornadoes are passable MOs. Tornadoes are created or destroyed only when explicitly stated so in the rules. Tornadoes may enter grid spaces that are occupied by impassible objects. This section takes precedence over rule 301. D.2. Creation Each nday, when the Wind is at the state of Gale Force, 1d6 is rolled. If the result is less than 2, and there exist no Tornadoes at the time, a Tornado Touches Down at a random location on the grid. If, instead, one Tornado exists at the time, 1d6 is rolled. If the result is 1, a Tornado Touches Down at a random location on the grid. D.3. Touching Down When a Tornado Touches Down, it is placed on the grid. Any objects located there are affected as described in ###. D.4. Destruction Each nday, when the Wind is not at the state of Gale Force, if any Tornadoes exist, one is removed from the grid. D.5. Affects If an object is located at the same space as a tornado, the effects are as follows: * a player: The player in question loses 15 points and is moved to limbo. If e was in an airspeeder, the airspeeder is processed separately. * a gremlin: It goes into Hiding. * a Big Rock: No effect * a siren: It is removed from the grid * an ancient monolith: No effect * a toad: Same effect as a player * a big stick: It is destroyed. If an object is not listed here, it is Flung by the tornado. D.6. Flinging When a tornado Flings an object, the following happens: If the object can be thrown, it is thrown to a random space within 5 squares of the tornado. If the object cannot be thrown, it is moved a random space within 5 squares of the tornado. The random space may be off the grid, or otherwise illegal. If that happens, the object is destroyed, unless the rules require it to exist. If the rules require it to exist, a new location is selected until it is on the grid and legal. }} }} - -- bd Never have so many understood so little about so much. -- James Burke -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.1 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+XoU0x533NjVSos4RAj6IAJ447eUZb73ue/dnbU3idDzfANoWFwCgygKt +7eDcfeBL3r5ftbx8/7xyZ4= =wSjM -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ spoon-business mailing list spoon-business@xxxxxxxxx http://lists.ellipsis.cx/mailman/listinfo/spoon-business
