[Spoon-business] talking and vote changing |
Why this is on Business:Seeing as Wonko did it for his, and it seems proper, I change my vote to Abstain on the Respect Orc prop.
About ImprobabilityI really like the Improbability Drive, but it needs to be a bit harder to get. Ford Prefect didn't do it alone. Hmm. Maybe an Alien Gnome, and require an Ancient Monolith, and... well, I'm just making things up. I've got some ideas, but we'd need more props to fully implement them. Also, the lots of Voids seems a bit harsh. Ooh, another idea-since it takes time, make it such that whoever's in the speeder cannot perform any grid actions for, say, 7 ndays. And Wonko's right about the clarity with the movement and the die roll. Ooh, another thought - think up some more wierd things, like maybe Gnomes turning into random types, a Caviar Sandwhich appearing, random grid object movement, etc. Another thought: since the one in the book was otherwise run-of-the-mill, either: prohibit other upgrades, or: cause some extratarrestrials to be looking to get all the IIP drive ships, and cause trouble for people to have them.
About Catastrophe'sIt seems like we are going to be using Mishap, Accident, Calamity, Hoodoo or Misfortune. I agree that Accident isn't that accurate, but for a different reason-it might be done on purpose. Misfortune is the most accurate, but is long. Mishap seems tame. No one has supported Calamity but me. Hoodoo is nice and short, and I think would go well except for the fact it's a bit wierd.
