We need to store the seuence in both a code-friendly form and verbatim,
since any sequence could end up being the Previous-sequence.

Anyway, I'm working on it right now, but I keep getting interrupted by
library patrons ever 30 seconds, which is about how long it takes me to
see what I've done and resume coding.
