It's possible. Apple has their own version, fink has a couple, Tenon has 
one, etc., etc.

I think Apple's will go v1.0 with the release of Panther (10.3). Right 
now, I've installed fink's. It looks like building it from source actually 
worked, but I haven't played with it a whole lot.


Erin has discovered the iTunes Music Store. <sigh>


I'm liking Slackware quite a bit. Since I don't have rpms or debs, I'm
going slow and actually learning necessary dependencies. Also, I'm not as
tempted to download and install a crapload of software I don't need.
Security patches are promptly available and packages are reasonably
up-to-date (without being on the bleeding edge). The config files and
scripts are in the obvious spots and very well commented. Combined with my 
firewall, I feel like I'm running a reasonably secure system. Performance 
has been good, as well as can be expected on my crappy hardware.

This weekend I'm going to see if I can get my development environment set 
up how I like it.
