Hmmph. So... even though I told the installer to install 2.2.18, and even
though it created a /lib/modules/2.2.18 directory instead of a
/lib/modules/2.4.2 directory, it looks like it still installed 2.4.2.
I have no idea what you are doing to install the kernel. Are you building it yourself, i assume (and hope)? Check your bootloader to make sure it is loading the right kernel file.
