I just noticed that several users have old mail sitting on the spool.
You can check whether you have mail on the spool this way:

   ls -l /var/spool/mail/username

where 'username' is your username. If the file size is nonzero, then
you have some old mail to retrieve, which you can get by using inc
(*not* qinc, which is what those of you using maildirs normally use).
