[hosers-announce] upgrade to FC3 |
Tomorrow I'm going to upgrade charybdis to Fedora Core 3. The upgrade of scylla last week caused about an hour of downtime; I expect that charybdis will be down for less than an hour because it has far fewer installed packages. As for differences between FC2 and FC3, the two that you guys are likely to notice are: 1. The default bash prompt now uses a ~ for your home directory, rather than spelling out its name. 2. There is supposed to be a script which notifies me about expired SSL certificates, so I'll know right away if the one for POP3 has expired, rather than waiting for Jeff to tell me. :) My experience with upgrading scylla tells me that this time around nothing will break, but nonetheless be on the lookout and let me know if anything does. _______________________________________________ hosers-announce mailing list hosers-announce@xxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.ellipsis.cx/mailman/listinfo/hosers-announce
