If you have a directory the contents of which you do *not* wish to be included in the daily incremental and weekly full backups, make a file called .nobak in that directory. E.g., if you don't want ~/goatpr0n to be backed up, do the following: touch ~/goatpr0n/.nobak It's that easy. Of course, if you do that and my drive dies, don't complain when all of your goat pr0n is gone. :) Why did I change the backup scripts to do this? Because I recently downloaded RH9, and I don't want the whole distribution to be included in the weekly backup. Rather than explicitly exclude that directory, I thought I should do this the right way and make it available to everyone.) -- J. _______________________________________________ hosers-announce mailing list hosers-announce@xxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.ellipsis.cx/mailman/listinfo/hosers-announce
