One thing I find interesting here: Russian control of (or even influence on)
Hanover would not have been a realistic possiblity at at time when Russia and
Britain were allies, since the King of England was also the hereditary Elector
of Hanover.

(This is one of those things that the National Aspriations scoring rules  
try to model, though they appear to have missed this one.
