    No, this is the wrong conclusion to draw.  Don't say "next time I'll 
check with my ally before moving his forces."  Say instead that next time, 
you won't move his forces at all.  You'll let him do it.
    After all, in theory this game involves diplomacy.  And with diplomacy 
should come the possibility of *not* doing what you tell other people that 
you plan to do.  That is, Joel (or any player) should have the right to make 
whatever move they choose *regardless* of what they may have said to other 
players during diplomacy.  Some may call this style of play "stabbing your 
friends in the back."  Although many of us may eschew this style of play, it 
should still be a theoretical possibility!  However, this style of play 
becomes impossible if your allies get to make your moves for you!
    So, again, please do *not* move other player's forces, *regardless* of 
whether a "meeting of the minds" has been reached.
